ReadyStepGrow is a new and innovative charity that delivers education and support programs to empower parents of prems.
The team at ReadyStepGrow understand the significance of prematurity and offer pathways to empower parents and enrich early learning and development for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school age prems.
Developed by a mulitdisciplinary team including expert physiotherapist, speech pathologist and occupational therapist, ReadyStepGrow aims to extend parent's knowledge about all the different areas of learning and development, particularly those for which prems have been shown to have challenges.
ReadyStepGrow helps parents give their prems the best start. Our programs respond to research that shows prems are at increased risk in key areas of learning and development. Early intervention programs are where the biggest differences can be made.
Your health is important to us at ReadyStepGrow. All facilitators and staff are immunised against whooping cough and we ask that our families (or any support persons attending) are too.
Prems are more likely to experience emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties.
Difficulties can often be identified early and many can be overcome, if action is taken early!
Preparation for school (school readiness) begins in the family.
The nurture, care and stimulation premmies receive from adults in their lives shape the way the brain develops.
With this knowledge, comes a responsibility to help parents create enriched and supportive environments as early as possible. And this is exactly what ReadyStepGrow strives to do (and so, our motto - we) - empower parents of prems.
